Heart

show traditional early warning markers for cardiovascular disease.

patients who are particularly at risk and would benefit from
preventative treatment of cardiovascular disease.
The test assesses the synergistic functioning of all the individual lipid scores and independent cardiovascular factors.
- Homocysteine—Levels
of the amino acid can rise in response to deficiencies in B12, folate,
B6, and betaine. High levels of homocysteine can lead to damaged
endothelium, increased platelet aggregation, and the formation of
atherosclerotic lesions.
- Lipoprotein—Lipoprotein
is played a causal role in atherothrombogenesis and is also associated
with coronary and peripheral cardiac events. It promotes the presence
of deposits in atherosclerotic lesions.
- C-reactive
protein—High levels of C-reactive protein are indicative of
inflammation linked to coagulation and vascular endothelium damage.
Research suggests that pathogens such as Chlamydia pneumoniae or
Heliobacter pylori may cause chronic inflammation. Individuals who have
previously experienced a cardiovascular event are often at risk for
higher levels of C-reactive protein.
- Fibrinogen—High
levels of fibrinogen can lead to arterial clotting by promoting
thrombus formation, endothelial injury, and hyperviscosity.
- Triglycerides—High
levels of triglycerides (typically elevated by diets high in saturated
fats or carbohydrates) can lead to the progression of coronary and
peripheral atherosclerosis.
- Cholesterol—Ratios
of cholesterol levels provide information on the dynamics of lipid
metabolism and impact on cardiovascular disease.
After
assessing the results of the cardiovascular health profile, the patient
and doctor work together to develop interventions to reduce the
patient’s risk of cardiovascular trauma.
