Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis
Digestive complaints are one of the most common reasons that
patients seek our help. Without adequate digestion, it is
absolutely impossible to achieve optimum health. Not only
does the digestive tract allow us to assimilate the nutrients
from the food that we eat, it also prevents toxic materials
from entering the body. Indicators of digestive disturbances
include:
• Indigestion
• Constipation
• Diarrhea
• Gas and Bloating
• Infection/Disbiosis
• Abdominal Pain
• Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
• Inflammatory Bowl Disease
• Steatorrhea
Extra-intestinal indicators can include:
• Arthritis
• Autoimmune Disease
• Chronic Fatigue
• Fibromyalgia
• Recent Antibiotic Use
• Vitamin B12 deficiency
• Food Allergies
• Colon and Breast Cancer
• Skin Conditions

(CDSA) is a helpful tool for evaluating the health of the
digestive tract. It is a non-invasive test which provides
doctors with an understanding of patients’ intestinal
ecology. Dysbiosis, a state of disordered microbial ecology,
is becoming increasingly common, particularly as the widespread
use of antibiotics disrupts the normal bacterial flora. Beneficial
bacteria—or probiotics—such as Lactobacilli and
Bifidobacteria, can help prevent the development of dysbiosis.
The CDSA measures the levels of these organisms and detects
the presence of bacterial and fungal pathogens. Sensitivities
are performed on potential pathogens, measuring sensitivity
to pharmaceutical as well as some natural substances. This
allows the doctors to identify effective antimicrobial treatments
so that the patient can achieve optimal gastrointestinal health.
